What Can $1 Become in 365 Days?
I’m starting with $1, one new revenue stream and one rule:
I have to stick with it for an entire year.
September 2, 2026 – September 1, 2027
There it is. My starting capital: $1.00.
Not $1,000.
Not a carefully prepared advertising budget.
One dollar.
And for the next 365 days, I’m going to publicly track what happens when I use that $1 to build one revenue stream — without abandoning it when something newer, shinier or easier comes along.
Because that’s the part I haven’t always been very good at.
I’ve been running online businesses for more than 16 years. I know how to create products. I know how to build websites, set up funnels, send emails and make sales.
And it’s not the creation of things that has been my problem. I have a hard drive stuffed with products that have never or just for a few days – seen the daylight.
Sticking with one thing long enough to find out what it could become?
That’s my nemesis.
I get excited about an idea, build it, launch it… and then find myself looking towards the next idea before I’ve really given the first one a chance.
So for the next year I’m doing something different. I’ve ran experiments before. Some failed, some succeeded. But I’ve never done it the way I’m going to do it now.
I’m giving myself 365 days. I’m tracking one revenue stream. And I use $1 as seed money.
And nowhere to hide from the numbers.
The business I’m betting my $1 on?
Unhurried Pages.
It’s a brand-new digital colouring-book brand I’ve been quietly building behind the scenes.
And I’m not pretending I’m starting this challenge with nothing.
Before Day 1, I’d already created the brand. I’d bought the domain. I’d created the first 10 colouring books. On day 2, I’ve added 6 more. I have more than 16 years of online-business experience. I already have an audience through beyondUB and my previous business. And I have business tools and software that I already pay for.
All of that matters.
So this isn’t one of those “I started with $1 and magically built a business from absolutely nothing!” experiments.
The $1 is the starting capital for this new revenue stream.
And I’m going to show you what happens next.
You’ll See the Numbers
I’m not going to wait until I’ve succeeded and then come back and tell you a lovely story about how I did it. You’re coming along while I’m actually doing it, which means you’ll get to see the real numbers as they happen — the sales, the expenses and everything I try along the way.
I’ll share what’s working, what isn’t, and the decisions I make as I go, including the ones that turn out to be completely wrong. Because I don’t know how this is going to turn out yet. That’s part of the reason I want to do it this way.
More than anything, I want to find out what happens when I do something I haven’t always been very good at: stay with one idea long enough to give it a proper chance. To keep marketing it, improving it and adding to it instead of getting distracted by the next idea, and to see what this one revenue stream can actually become when I give it a full 365 days.
The First Big Milestone: 100
When Unhurried Pages launches, I’ll offer exactly 100 Founding Lifetime Access memberships for $47 each. And when I say 100, I really do mean 100. There won’t suddenly be another ten spots because they’re selling well, and customer #101 won’t somehow sneak in at the founding price.
If all 100 spots sell, that first milestone alone will bring in $4,700. Will I actually sell all 100? I hope so, obviously, but I have no idea how quickly it will happen — or whether I’ll discover that my brilliant $47 offer isn’t nearly as irresistible to everyone else as it seems to me. That’s rather the point of doing this challenge publicly.
You’ll be able to follow those first 100 sales with me, right down to customer #100. Once that final founding spot has been claimed, the $47 price is gone and Lifetime Access will move to its next price. From there, I’ll keep building the Unhurried Pages library, experimenting with how I sell it and sharing what happens along the way.
But I Don’t Want You Just Watching Me
While I’m doing my challenge, I’d love you to have something of your own to work towards too. When you join, you’ll get your own challenge form where you can decide what you want your next 365 days to be about.
It doesn’t have to look anything like mine. You might want to take one product from $1 to $1,000, make your first ever sale, finally start marketing something you’ve already created, or grow an income stream that’s already bringing in money. And it doesn’t actually have to be about reaching a particular amount of money at all. Your challenge might simply be to choose one thing and stick with it for a year instead of continually wondering whether you should be doing something else.
You’ll choose your own starting point, your goal and what you want to track. The form will give you somewhere to put all of that in writing at the beginning, so that 365 days later you can come back and see just how far you’ve travelled.
I’ll have my challenge. You’ll have yours. And we’ll see where we both are a year from now.
This Isn’t a Course
I want to be very clear about this part, because I’m not going into the challenge already knowing how the story ends. I’m certainly not going to spend the next year pretending I have a five-step formula that I already know will get me from $1 to some impressive number.
This is an experiment happening in real time. You’ll see the numbers, the decisions and the things I try along the way. That includes the well, THAT didn’t work moments as well as the unexpected wins. Some ideas will probably work better than I expected, others may go absolutely nowhere, and there will almost certainly be things I’d do differently if I were starting again.
That’s what I want this to be. Not a polished case study created after the fact, but an honest look at what happens when I take one revenue stream and give it my attention for an entire year.
And hopefully, 365 days from now, we’ll have a rather interesting answer to the question that started all of this:
What can $1 become when you give one idea an entire year?
I put my first dollar down on September 2, 2026, so my 365 days have already started.
Now I’m committed.
Are you coming with me?
You’ll get access to the challenge, my updates and numbers as the experiment unfolds, plus your own challenge form so you can set your starting point, goal and commitment and track your journey alongside mine.
